If you need to test a lot of animals on the pasta matrix task in a short amount of time, you’ll want to have some extra pasta matrix trays on hand. The trays can be swapped on and off our pasta matrix enclosure, precisely aligned by pegs on the underlying stainless steel alignment plate. You still have to refill them manually, unfortunately (we’re still trying to figure out how to automate that), but extra trays mean you won’t have to do it as fast as your animals clear them.
